The House of Representatives have been in session 8 days since late July and won’t go back until November 9th, after the midterm elections. Yet still receiving close to $15,000 a month salary and all their benefits too.
They have been in session 72 days this year and have 20 more scheduled days in session once they return. They’ve earned $1,891 each day in session.
Here’s a little nugget of knowledge: According to their OBBB as of today members of the House Of Representatives have not worked enough days to qualify for SNAP benefits, with only 20 work days left on their session calendar and needing a minimum of 120 days worked.
