This was me right around the time I learned I wasn’t very good at being a liar and dishonest. I was a teenager, post high school.

One life changing experience taught me I cannot lie, steal or cheat all in the same breath. I always got caught!! But that last time will last me a lifetime.

It’s crazy to see how many people are comfortable being dishonest. But if people themselves are liars, it’s easy to be lied to.

I’d rather not say anything than say something that isn’t true.

My grandpa taught us about character. God taught me about character.

Growing up in L.A. taught me game recognizes game and you can’t bullsh*t a bullsh*tter.

A data center proposed on BLM land near Hermiston would be the first on federal public land in Oregon, one of dozen proposed in six western states.

Preparing for this to be my last year cooking soul food in Oregon. It’s hard to believe I’ve been frying chicken across this state for 12 years.

I’m ready to get back to cooking for my friends every so often. I never want to lose my desire for this, so instead of getting burnt out, I’m just going to get very, very, selective.

It behoves me to remember not to take the prejudice of others personal.

The assumptions and judgments people project from a broken lens.

I know God keeps me exceedingly and abundantly above all I could ever ask or think.

The Clancy trial just got me excited! Can we finally begin to have the conversations about the intersection of feminism and race?

I have soooooooo much to say about this topic. I’ve been holding it in for so long.

I was literally telling a girlfriend about three weeks ago I’ve been wanting to blog and do a podcast about the unspoken role of what I’m calling “The Triple W: white, woke, and women”©️ and racism in this country and the world.

Real women know we hold the power! In my early years life taught me it was easier to play a man than a fiddle. Sorry brother friends 🤷🏾‍♀️

So the notion White men hold all the power to sustain systemic racism never, never, never made sense to me.

What’s the saying, “Behind every great man is a greater woman”?

I’m about to p**s a lot of y’all off, and not just White women.

But I’m not afraid to speak a truth that needs to be talked about. Especially as a Black woman who realized she was being used by these women. White. Woke. Women.

There’s so much truth to this, it’s stupid!

I figured out a while ago liberals, progressives and IPOCs use the one Black person they decide can enter a room until it’s no longer convenient.

Why?

Because sometimes the truth isn’t what they want to hear, especially when it goes against the crap they’re pushing!

What do you think?

Eleven nonprofit hospitals and health districts around Oregon hope to get an official green light to create a network and contract with for-profit company to pool resources and increase payments from insurers; they say they'll remain independent

Oregon facts…

1 in 3 (33%) Oregonians are enrolled in OHP (Oregon Health Plan) aka Medicaid. ~ 1.42 million people.

1 in 6 Oregonians receive SNAP (food stamps) benefits. ~ 708,000 people.

Oregon’s unemployment rate is around 5.2%. That’s approximately 1 in 19 people who are unemployed. ~ 114,000 unemployed in May, 2026.

The argument people don’t want to work is not valid. Why don’t politicians have conversations about underemployment?

People are working and still need state/federal assistance.

The math ain’t mathin’!
