From Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office:
Stage 2 Fire Ban in Effect for Unincorporated Jefferson County
A Stage 2 Fire Ban is in effect for all areas of unincorporated Jefferson County and will remain in effect until further notice.
The ban prohibits all fires and campfires, including those in grates, fire pits and developed fire rings. It also prohibits charcoal grills, open burning, fireworks, sky lanterns and other activities that may create a fire risk.
All fireworks are prohibited while the ban is in effect. If you live inside a city or town, check with your municipality for local fire restrictions and fireworks laws.
Do not call 911 to report fireworks unless there is an injury, fire, or immediate threat to life or property. Illegal fireworks may be reported through the Jeffcom911 app, online, or by calling the Fireworks Hotline at 303-980-7340 from July 3 to 5, 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.
