A quick update from Indian Lake EMS

Our second ambulance, 8005, is temporarily out of service for general repairs. We are currently operating with one ambulance (8006) for primary response.

If that ambulance is already committed to a call, mutual aid will be requested from a neighboring agency, which may mean a longer response time.

Please continue to call 911 as usual for emergencies. We appreciate your patience and understanding. 8005 will be back in service soon!

A huge thank you to Indian Lake Volunteer Fire Department for assisting Indian Lake EMS during a recent critical call involving a patient who fell approximately 30 feet from a roof.

Their crew assisted with safe patient extraction and preparing a landing zone for LifeNet. We’re grateful for the teamwork 🚒🚑🚁

25 years later, we remember those who went to work that morning and never came home.

The firefighters, EMS personnel, police officers, dispatchers, and countless first responders who answered a call that would change them and this country, forever.

Some gave their lives.
Some survived and carried the trauma home with them.
Some families were left without even the closure of bringing their loved one home.

We were kids during 9/11. Now we’re the ones answering the calls.

For those who answered that day, and those still carrying it

we will never forget.

Protect your heart with the same passion you give your game collection. Ask your doctor if it’s time for a cholesterol screening.
When cholesterol is too high, it can put you at a higher risk of heart disease or stroke. Getting your cholesterol tested helps you understand your levels and protect your heart health.

🚑Please join us in supporting 4 of our members here at Indian lake EMS as they embark on their Advanced EMT training.

AEMTs have additional training that allows them to provide care beyond the EMT level, including starting IVs, giving fluids and additional medications, and providing advanced airway care.

In a rural area with longer transport times, having AEMTs means more treatment options are available to our patients before they reach the hospital bridging the gap between EMT-B and Paramedic.

Continuing our education and expanding our capabilities helps ILVAC provide a stronger level of care to the people who live, work, and visit here.

AEMT CLASS — REGISTRATION CLOSING SOON!

There are still OPENINGS AVAILABLE for the upcoming Advanced EMT (AEMT) course, but time is running out to get registered!

📍 This class will be held right here at the Indian Lake EMS building! 105 Pelon Road Indian lake NY, 12842

Students will participate in instruction virtually with providers from Clarkson University, with an onsite provider at Indian Lake EMS to assist with hands-on skills and training.

This is an especially great opportunity for EMS providers farther north who want to continue their education and advance their certification without having to travel several hours for class. Bringing this course to Indian Lake makes advanced EMS education much more accessible to providers throughout our rural communities.
