Rain couldn’t dampen the fun at our PSFRD family day 🌦️
As part of our celebration of the District’s 75th anniversary, we spent Saturday with the people who make PSFRD so special.
Despite the rainy weather, our firefighters, staff, commissioners, spouses, and children made the best of the day. From the bounce house and lawn games to great food, music, and plenty of laughs, everyone enjoyed a chance to relax and spend some time together outside of the firehouse.
The biggest attraction may have been the dunk tank, where everyone had the opportunity to send the Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, District Administrator, District Chiefs (one of which is the Union President), and even a Fire Commissioner into the water.
A special thank you to Deacon Fred Kunder for blessing our new station, and to the Union for helping make the day a success by providing the games and dunk tank that kept everyone entertained through the afternoon. We also appreciate Chief Grimes and Chief Best for manning the grill, and James C. Bertolami for keeping the music going all day long.
We are grateful for the families who support our members every day. Events like these remind us that PSFRD is more than a workplace. We’re a family.
