Neighbors and community members play a huge role in making individuals living with dementia feel included in their communities.
Free Dementia Friends Information Sessions are available to the public. Attendees of these sessions will learn how to recognize the signs of dementia as well learn best practices for communicating with those who are living with dementia.

• Be protected from abuse
• Be free from restraints
• Complain
• Be treated like adults, not children

ASI dinosaurs...I mean Care Managers...had fun handing out candy and information at the Trunk or Treat In The Park event hosted by the Armstrong Indiana Clarion Drug and Alcohol Commission.
Through our Caregiver Support Program, ASI helps grandparents who are raising their grandchildren as well as sandwich caregivers- adults who are simultaneously raising children while caring for their aging parents. Dementia Friendly Indiana County is hosting a Caregiver Appreciation Event sponsored by Aging Services, Inc., Anew Home Health Agency, and PA LINK. This event is open to family caregivers in Indiana County.
