April is ! At WIC, we recognize the stress and challenges of parenthood, and we are here to support you every step of the way. 🫶 Learning to handle stress in a healthy way is good for you, and it helps you set a positive example for your kids. This April, take some time to reflect, model, and practice ways to cope with stress:
🎧Prioritize time for something you love: Take a walk, listen to music, or read.
☮️Practice mindfulness throughout your day: Try learning new breathing exercises!
🏃♀️➡️Move your body: Regular movement, even short walks, can reduce stress!

Storms will develop across Indiana, with the western and southwestern regions under enhanced risk. Expect strong winds, hail, flooding, and possible tornadoes. Storms will start at 2 p.m., continue through early evening, and resume again from 8 p.m. until 3 a.m. Tuesday.
Monitor weather updates and act promptly. Designate a safe place, such as a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor, away from windows. Secure multiple alert methods and avoid travel if weather conditions worsen. If a warning occurs, seek shelter immediately.
Prepare before the storm hits. Explore resources and build your plan at getprepared.in.gov.
