What was your favorite thing about summer as a kid?
Was it making new friends, trying something for the first time, getting messy with art projects, or spending the day outside without a care in the world?
For many of the children we serve, those experiences aren't a given.
Camp Discovery gives children experiencing homelessness six weeks to simply be kids. They paint, play games, learn to cook, work in the garden, go on field trips, and spend time with friends. For a little while, they get a break from the stress and uncertainty that can come with not having a stable place to call home.
Camp Discovery begins June 8. If you're able, please consider making a donation today and helping us create a summer filled with joy, connection, and belonging.

The Munjuluri family did not just show up, they showed up together.
It started with their daughter discovering Dayspring, falling in love with the work, and bringing her family along. They now volunteer on Saturdays and genuinely enjoy it.
We are grateful for the Munjuluri family. 💛🏡 If you would like to volunteer as a family, learn more: dayspringindy.org/volunteer

For 40 years, Dayspring Center has been shaped by the people who walked through its doors. Staff who stayed. Volunteers who kept showing up. Families who rebuilt their lives. Partners who believed in the work.
This year, we're honoring 40 of them. Their words, their story, their connection to Dayspring.
NICK KLINGER
10 years of showing up.
Nick has been bringing Brebeuf Jesuit students to Dayspring every Thursday for 10 years. What keeps him coming back is not obligation. It’s what happens when they get there.
“Volunteering at Dayspring is nourishing for the soul.”

This memorial weekend, we honor the veterans we’ve lost and remember those still fighting battles long after their service ends.
More than 30,000 veterans in the U.S. experience homelessness on any given night. While that number has improved over the past decade, far too many heroes still face housing insecurity, isolation, and unmet support needs.
As we remember the brave men and women who gave their lives for our country, we also recommit to caring for the veterans who are still here. No one who served our nation should ever be without a safe place to call home.

Swimsuits. Splash fights. First-time memories. 💦
For many kids, summer camp means fun, friends & cannonballs into the pool. For children experiencing homelessness, Camp Discovery means something even bigger: a chance to just be kids again.
From June 8 – July 17, Camp Discovery will be filled with field trips, adventure, creepy crawly things, laughter, and LOTS of swimming! But first… we need swimwear!
Please visit our Camp Discovery Amazon Wish List for sizes, styles, & tons of camp needs.
