🐾✨ Meet Winston ✨🐾

Winston is the kind of dog who seems to approach life with full enthusiasm and very little hesitation.

When staff first met him, he came running over as soon as he heard a whistle—ready to play, interact, and be part of whatever was happening right away. Since arriving at the shelter, he has continued to show his friendly, social nature by greeting people with loose, happy tail wags, coming eagerly when called, and soaking up attention whenever he gets the chance.

Winston also has a wonderfully silly, overexcited side that shows up when he’s really feeling himself. He’s a little bit goofy, a little bit chaotic, and very much like an oversized puppy still figuring out how to channel all that enthusiasm in the best way.

At his core, Winston is a social, interactive dog who enjoys being part of the action but also has enough independence to explore, sniff around, and do his own thing between check-ins. He seems to appreciate both connection and freedom in equal measure.

With structure, guidance, and plenty of positive outlets for his energy, Winston is the kind of dog who is going to shine. He’ll do best with someone who appreciates a playful personality and can give him the direction he needs while still embracing his fun-loving spirit.

For the right person, Winston isn’t just a dog—he’s the kind of companion who brings humor, personality, and a whole lot of enthusiasm into everyday life. ❤️🐾

❤️ Happy Tails Update: Jules ❤️

We absolutely love receiving updates like this!

Jules was adopted on June 15th, and it sounds like she has settled into her new home as if she’s been there her entire life. 🥰

Since adoption, Jules has:
🐾 Claimed her very own bed
🐾 Enjoyed unlimited belly rubs
🐾 Become a car ride enthusiast
🐾 Taken over her human’s seat on the golf cart 😂
🐾 Spent her days running across 5 beautiful acres with her three kid siblings
🐾 Gone fishing with friends
🐾 Earned a clean bill of health from the veterinarian

She even attended the Brownsburg Farmers Market and did amazing! Her family says they just need to work on a little leash pulling, but otherwise she has been the perfect addition to their home.

While she was curious about the ducks and chickens at first, a firm “no” was all it took, and now she simply keeps a watchful eye on them from a distance. 👀🐔🦆

“We couldn’t have asked for a better girl for our family!”

Stories like Jules’ remind us why we do what we do. Thank you to her wonderful adopters for giving her the loving home she deserves and for sharing this incredible update with us. ❤️

Happy life, sweet Jules! We can’t wait to see more adventures from you.

ADOPTED!!

🏆 The Indianapolis Animal Care Services "Miss Congeniality" Award goes to... Little Baby.

The "Miss Photogenic" award? Well... let's not get carried away.

Little Baby arrived as a stray and, frankly, she's looking a little rough around the edges. She's skinny, she's scruffy, and could use a spa day that lasts approximately three business days. She's got wrinkles, scars, and a face that only a mother could love.

But here's the thing.

The moment you meet her, none of that matters.

Shelter life has already been hard on Little Baby. She's so stressed in her kennel that she's been hurting herself trying to get out. But when she's with people? She's calm, gentle, affectionate, and completely content soaking up attention.

When we took her out for pictures and videos today, she wasn't interested in showing off. She didn't want to go on a big adventure. She just wanted pets. And cuddles. And more pets. And maybe a few extra cuddles.

Little Baby may never be a cover girl, but she's the kind of dog that steals hearts anyway.

We know someone out there can look past the dirt, the scars, and the wrinkles and see what we see: a sweet soul who deserves a soft bed, a loving family, and a chance to spend her golden years knowing she's safe.

And honestly? We think she's beautiful. ❤️🐾

🎾💕 Meet Dulce! 💕🎾

If happiness could be turned into a dog, it might just look a lot like Dulce.

This cheerful girl seems to approach life with the belief that every person is a potential best friend and every tennis ball is the greatest treasure ever created. From the moment she arrived, Dulce has greeted people with loose, happy tail wags and a friendly, social attitude that makes her hard not to love.

One of Dulce's favorite activities is fetch—and she's good at it! Unlike some dogs who think "fetch" means "you throw it and I'll keep it," Dulce appears to have mastered the art of bringing the ball right back for another round. If you're looking for a dog who loves interactive play, she may be your perfect match.

When she's not chasing tennis balls, Dulce enjoys running around, playing games, and simply having fun with her people. She has an infectious enthusiasm that makes every outing a little brighter and every play session a little more entertaining.

Outside in the grassy runs, Dulce has shown herself to be easygoing, playful, and incredibly people-oriented. She enjoys attention, handles transitions well, and seems happiest when she's spending time with the humans she loves.

Dulce feels like the kind of dog who could do it all—play fetch in the yard, join you on adventures, make you laugh with her goofy antics, and then curl up beside you at the end of the day, completely content just being part of the family.

If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate companion who will bring energy, joy, and plenty of tennis ball enthusiasm into your life, come meet Dulce. ❤️🐾

💛 Meet Jonas 💛

Jonas is the definition of a gentle soul.

While he can be a little shy when first introduced to new situations, the people who know him best describe a soft, sweet dog who offers kisses, seeks closeness with his trusted humans, and simply wants to feel safe in the world around him.

Jonas isn’t the kind of dog who rushes into every new experience. Instead, he takes his time—quietly observing, processing, and learning to trust at his own pace. There is something incredibly special about a dog like Jonas, who asks for patience instead of attention, and then slowly begins to give you his heart in return.

The beautiful thing about Jonas is that beneath his reserved nature is a loving companion waiting to fully emerge.

He has already shown that he can form bonds with people and settle into a home environment. With consistency, kindness, and encouragement, his confidence will continue to grow in meaningful ways.

Watching a dog like Jonas come out of his shell is one of the most rewarding journeys an adopter can experience. Every small step forward—every tail wag, every gentle kiss, every moment of trust—feels deeply earned and incredibly special.

Jonas is looking for someone who will let him move at his own pace, celebrate his progress, and give him the steady, loving home he deserves.

If you have a patient heart and room in your life for a quiet, loyal companion, Jonas may be waiting just for you. 🐾💛

Meet Ashley!

Ashley has already proven that she is a survivor, but you would never know it from the way she greets the world today. Staff have discovered a dog who meets people with loose wags, a wiggly body, and an enthusiasm for making new friends. She is the kind of dog who seems genuinely excited to be part of whatever is happening, whether that means going for a walk, learning a new trick, cuddling on the couch, or simply following her favorite person from room to room. At just a year old, Ashley still has plenty of youthful energy, curiosity, and joy to share.

Ashley is affectionate, social, and happiest when she is included in the action. Her previous family described her as playful with other dogs, cuddly with people, and always eager for attention. She already knows commands like sit, lay down, and shake, and she enjoys car rides where she can keep an eye on everything happening outside the window. Like many young dogs, she is still polishing a few life skills, but she brings so much personality and heart to the table that it is easy to see why people fall for her. The family who welcomes Ashley home will be getting a devoted companion, a professional cuddler, and a cheerful sidekick who is ready to make every day a little brighter.

All adoptions include support from our adoption team to ensure a smooth transition from the shelter to your home. Adopted pets are vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before leaving the shelter's care.
