Spades Park

Hello neighbors! As you may know there are 2 neighbor created pages for Spades Park. This one ⬇️ and this one ➡️ Spades Park. The admins for these pages have agreed to merge them into one page. What will change? Nothing! But this will make it easier to get information out about this great park and neighborhood.

The Feast of Lanterns is proud to be a free, fun and family-friendly event. We've partnered this year with Arts for Learning and the CFI 2 Art Club to make our kids zone extra special!

In the kids’ zone, children can make paper lanterns and crowns for the parade at 9 PM as well as puppets. They will have a chance to read and/or tell stories while using their puppets as characters on the gigantic Reader’s Chair. In addition, children can color lantern designs or make their own drawings as they listen to stories around the chair.

Arts for Learning, a non-profit arts organization that brings teaching artists into schools and communities throughout the state to connect children with the arts, in partnership with the Center For Inquiry School 2 Art Club are co- hosting the kids’ zone at the 2016 Feast of Lanterns.

Along with staff and volunteers from Arts for Learning and sixth to eighth grade students from CFI 2 Art Club, Arts for Learning teaching artists Adzooks Puppets will be in the kids’ zone to lead the puppet-making activities.
