Way to go!
Big congratulations to Shawn Fulton, who was honored by INAPSE today with the 2026 Lois Curtis Personal Achievement Award. Shawn is a longtime leader in the self-advocate movement and serves The Arc of Indiana as the Advocacy, Engagement, & Education manager.
Lois Curtis was an American artist and the lead plaintiff in the U.S. Supreme Court Olmstead Decision case, which holds that unjustified segregation of people with disabilities is discriminatory and a breach of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
She, like Shawn, was a trailblazer, and we are so proud of him for his journey and his accomplishments. Congratulations, Shawn!
