Engine Co 64 Indianapolis

Pike Township Fire Dept. is extremely excited about taking delivery of our new Ladder 64 (left) which goes in-service this week. This new apparatus is a custom-made 2025 Pierce Velocity 105’ Aerial and will be replacing our current Ladder 64 (right) which gave the community almost 11 years of solid service. You can find Ladder 64 stationed at Pike Station 64, located at 52nd & Georgetown Rd.

Gas Main Ruptures During Massive Residential Fire Firefighters are investigating a gas main rupture at the scene.

We are saddened to pass along that Retired Fire Chief Tim Faulk has passed away. Chief Faulk served in multiple roles within Pike Township Fire Department over his 25 year career. He started as a volunteer in 1974 and became one of the first six paid employees in 1975. Chief Faulk was then promoted to B shift Captain in 1981, asst. Chief in 1982, Chief of Support Services in 1989, and ultimately served as Fire Chief from 1995-1998, retiring in 2000.
He was instrumental, along with others, in laying the groundwork for what Pike Township Fire Department is today. Please keep his wife and the rest of his family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate this difficult time. Services are pending and we will share the information when we have it available.
