Student Spotlight: David✨

David is currently enrolled in our High School Equivalency program at BDU. Let's hear what he has to say!

Why did you start classes in Adult Education?
"For me, it was because I have done my GED overseas in my home country. For all of the jobs I have applied to, they ask me to have the equivalency in the United States. I decided to complete the US GED instead of continuing to pay for the costly evaluations. Then, I can apply my GED to further my education and complete my higher education that I began pursuing years ago."

What is your ultimate goal for attending classes?
"My ultimate goal is to sit for the final GED exam. Then, after completing this step I do not plan to stop. I am seeking to achieve the highest levels of employment which requires higher levels of education. Specifically, I have high interests in sciences and lending myself toward logistics careers."

Is there anything else you would like to share?
"One of the greatest things for me is learning which classes I needed to attend and navigating the different subject areas. I expected to complete the classes alone, but found that I needed some additional studying in some areas. I really looked toward continuing to strive toward mathematics where I wanted to increase my achievement. Other students should really hone in on what they need further instruction on and focus their attention there to be most successful."✈️
