Many neighbors and club members were out today to meet Mayoral candidate Andrea Hunley for Indy who held an event in Franklin Township!

We LOVE to see this Mirror Indy Indy piece that names Wanamaker as the new food scene you'd least expect! Well, we've long been munching on crab rangoon dip from Baan Thai Bistro - Indianapolis and getting a caffeine fix from Fizz'n, so we're excited to see these and other neighbor businesses get some well deserved attention!

A couple housekeeping notes for those elected last week:

If you were elected as a PC, you have until Wednesday, May 20, 2026 to name your VPC. There is some paperwork involved, so please move on that quickly! If you're a PC and need to find a VPC, try using our private Facebook group to locate someone living in your precinct. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1113861814136787/

If you are a delegate, you must pay a $50 fee by May 18 (this info should have been sent in a pre-election email). If you are unable to pay your assessment fee for any reason, please reach out to Executive Director Megan Huntzinger at [email protected].

Indianapolis Mayoral candidate Andrea Hunley for Indy is hosting an event in our backyard on Sunday, May 17! This will be a listening session with the community, and all Franklin Township residents are invited! Learn more and register here: https://andreahunley.com/porch-party-rsvp/

Of note: The club doesn't endorse candidates in contested primaries like the Mayoral race, but we will share any and all relevant events for local Democratic candidates if they're hosted within the township!

The results are in!

Congratulations to all the primary winners! We look forward to voting for these Democrats in November!

A big congratulations to all our club members who filed to run for PC or State Delegate. ALL of our club members who filed won their races! 👏

Finally, thank you to everyone who VOTED! Democracy is only possible because of you!

(note: Results are deemed preliminary until certified by May 18)

There's still over an hour left to get to the polls! If you haven't yet, please make the time to vote!

As voting wraps up, and before results are released, we want to say thank you to everyone on the ballot. We had many exciting, contested races, some with only one Democratic candidate, and some with no Democratic candidate at all. The more people who run for office, any office, the greater the chances we get more people on the ballot in the future. So no matter the role, and no matter if you win or lose, we are grateful for you all! A special thanks to the many of you who visited one of our Club meetings this year!

Running for office takes a certain combination of guts and conviction. Thank you to these people; we were proud to vote for you today!

Cinde Wirth for U.S. Congress

William Kory Amyx For Congress
Karla Lopez Owens for Change
