Jake Teshka promised to be an independent voice in Indianapolis, unfortunately one of his first acts in the Statehouse is purely partisan. This bill, HB 1453, would take power away from St. Joseph County and give more power to the Governor in Indianapolis.

Push to change appointment of superior court judges in St. Joseph County St. Joseph County is one of only four in the State of Indiana where superior court judges are appointed instead of elected. Now the appointment process itself has been targeted for an overhaul.
