Indyeast Christmas

It's been a long time! So while there won't be any shows for the 2021 Holiday season, I wanted to provide an update. After moving from 9424 E 25th Street in 2018, some of you know that we retained ownership of that house and just lived a few houses down at 9530 E 25th Street. The shows never resurfaced at 9530 because of logistics. We didn't have a place where people could park and view the lights, and 25th street was too dangerous to attempt a show without the church parking lot. There was also the considerable cost to retrofit all the custom lights to work on a new house. After 17 years, in April of 2021, we had the opportunity to sell both houses on 25th street and move into our dream home further outside the city but still in the same Warren community that we have enjoyed the last 17 years, which was very important. You may be asking, well, what about the show? That's complicated. We have an HOA, and the show in its previous form would be a violation. There is a culdesac close to where our house is. It might be feasible if we can reach an agreement with our HOA. All of the RGB's, the fancy lights that could change and do all the patterns and fun things you all enjoy, would have to be replaced and updated as they were too severely damaged. But maybe phasing things in slowly over time might be the better approach, just like we did from the start of Indyeast Christmas. I've never forgotten about all of you. The last few years have been challenging, and not providing the shows greatly impacted me. This year we have around 5,000 LED lights. They are not synchronized to music. It's just a traditionally decorated home. Hopefully, I will have solutions to overcome the hurdles to bring the show back in the future. In the meantime, I wanted to take a minute and tell the story and wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
