For the FIRST TIME in Indianapolis Public Schools history, our IPS All-City Marching Band is about to take the field at the ISSMA Scholastic A State Finals!

It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with families, celebrate our neighborhood, and strengthen the relationships that make our Haughville community special.

📅 Immunization Exclusion Date:
Monday, October 19, 2026

Parents and guardians, please ensure your student’s immunizations are up to date and that all required documentation has been submitted before the exclusion date.

Students who do not meet state immunization requirements will be excluded from attending school until compliance is established.

Our community partner, Shalom Health Care Center, offers immunizations and wellness services to help families meet these requirements.

George Washington High School invites all parents and guardians to our Student Progress Conferences. This is an opportunity to connect with teachers, discuss academic progress, and plan for continued success.

Livin' my life like it's golden 🎶

As we wrap up , we celebrate IPS Golden Pillars for 50+ years of service to IPS and the Indianapolis community. As the living history and enduring soul of our district, their lifetime of devotion has shaped the very foundation of IPS and touched generations of students, families, and colleagues. The following have reached their golden era, celebrating 50 years of service in the 2026/2027 school year:
