A great night connecting with our Indio community!

We loved meeting local families, sharing what we do, and giving kids a closer look at our Collection Department’s Vactor truck at National Night Out.

Another exciting addition to Indio! We joined Walter Clark Legal Group to celebrate the grand opening of their new location and welcome them to the Indio community. A special shoutout to Allende for the delicious catering and to Fuego for making an appearance and adding to the excitement!

VSD 101 | Centennial Flashback

We’re taking a look back at a special moment in Valley Sanitary District’s 100-year history. 🎉

Our Centennial Celebration brought together the people who helped shape VSD and the community we’re proud to serve.

As we continue serving our community, we’re celebrating not only where we are today, but the people, memories, and milestones that helped get us here.

100 years of service. One District. One community.

Keeping the sewer flowing takes skill, the right equipment, and a whole lot of teamwork. 💧

In this reel, one of our Collections team members Chris explains how VSD uses jetting with a Vactor truck to help clear blockages, remove buildup, and keep wastewater moving safely and efficiently through the sewer system toward the treatment plant.

For this specific section of pipe, the team used a specialized nozzle to help address root intrusion and heavy grease buildup, two common issues that can restrict flow and lead to sewer problems if not properly maintained.

This is a behind-the-scenes look at the important work our Collections Department does every day to protect public health, and maintain our infrastructure so our community can flush and forget 🚽

Summer heat is no joke, especially for our team members working outdoors and around the treatment plant. ☀️💧

In this video, Chris, one of Valley Sanitary District’s Wastewater Treatment Operators, shares a few important safety tips and practices our team follows during the hot summer months.

From staying hydrated and taking breaks when needed to wearing proper PPE, monitoring conditions, and looking out for one another, safety remains a top priority at VSD.

Protecting our team helps us continue protecting public health and providing reliable wastewater service for our community every day.

It was great to hear from local leadership recognizing outstanding businesses, and connecting with the people and organizations helping move the Coachella Valley forward.

We appreciate the Chamber’s continued work in supporting our business community and creating opportunities for collaboration, growth, and impact. Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees!
