Water Quality Notice

The City of Ingleside receives its drinking water supply from the San Patricio Municipal Water District. The primary supply to the District’s treatment plant is currently unavailable due to a leak in the Mary Rhodes Pipeline.

As a temporary measure, the District is currently obtaining its primary water supply from the Nueces River. The river is presently experiencing elevated levels of naturally occurring organic compounds, which may occasionally result in a slight musty or earthy taste or odor in the water.

Please be assured that the water remains safe to drink. The change in taste or odor is an aesthetic issue and does not affect the safety or quality of the water.

If you notice a slight change in the taste or odor of your drinking water, rest assured it is temporary. We appreciate your patience and understanding while the temporary supply conditions are addressed. We expect this condition to be temporary and will continue to monitor the water supply.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
