UNION BUSTING IS DISGUSTING!

The DSM Airport Authority has a board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 8 at 9:00 a.m. in the Second Floor Board Room at Des Moines International Airport, 5800 Fleur Drive.

We want to pack the room. We need to make sure airport leadership hears loud and clear that the public deserves a voice and that TSA jobs at DSM should remain good-paying, middle-class union jobs.

Dolly Parton knew what it was like to struggle as she fought for working families her whole career. From providing free books to kids to giving working women our "9 to 5" anthem, she was an icon and an inspiration.

Union busting is disgusting.

Thank you to our union brothers, sisters, and siblings at the Iowa Federation of Labor, AFL-CIO Constitutional Convention for helping inform delegates about the Des Moines Airport Authority’s union-busting efforts.

It is especially disrespectful that, as we approach the 25th anniversary of 9/11, the Airport Authority is trying to privatize the jobs of the federal TSA officers who have dedicated their careers to keeping passengers and our airports safe.

These officers deserve our support, not a pink slip.

If you believe Iowa should stand with working people and against union busting, make your voice heard. Tell the Des Moines Airport Authority to reverse this horrible decision:
