Iowa Colony Fire Department Deploys Engine 22 and Three Firefighters to Support Texas Flood Response
IOWA COLONY, TEXAS — The Iowa Colony Fire Department, in partnership with Brazoria County Emergency Services District No 3, deployed Engine 22 and three firefighters early this morning through the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS) to support flood response operations.
The crew is deploying to Alice, Texas, where they will receive assignments coordinated through the state’s mutual aid response. The deployment is expected to last approximately seven days, depending on conditions and operational needs.
TIFMAS allows fire departments across Texas to provide personnel and apparatus to communities needing additional emergency resources. Iowa Colony’s crew will support local responders as directed by incident command.
The partnership between Iowa Colony Fire Department and Brazoria County ESD #3 makes this deployment possible, providing personnel and equipment to assist fellow Texans during emergencies.
We thank our deployed firefighters and their families for their service and sacrifice, and Brazoria County ESD #3 for its continued partnership and support.
Updates will be shared through Iowa Colony Fire Department’s official communication channels as information becomes available.
