James V. Allred Chapel Project

A prison sentence does not define a person's entire story.

The Allred Chapel Project is creating opportunities for men to grow in their faith, develop life skills, work through challenges, and prepare for life beyond incarceration.

The goal is not simply to build a chapel. It is to create a place where people can prepare for what comes next.

A chapel is made of walls, windows, and a roof. But what happens inside those walls is what truly matters.

The Allred Chapel will provide a place for worship, Bible studies, recovery programs, life skills, reentry preparation, and other opportunities for personal and spiritual growth.

We are building a space where faith can be put into action.

The new chapel at James Allred Prison is being built to provide more than a place to worship. It will create opportunities for men to find faith, seek guidance, learn, and begin working toward a different future.

We believe there is always room for hope, growth, and a new beginning.

What began as a vision is now becoming a reality.

The Allred Chapel Project began in 2020 with a desire to bring greater access to faith, spiritual growth, education, and meaningful programs to the men at James Allred Prison.

Today, construction is underway. We are grateful for everyone who has helped move this mission forward.

The Allred Chapel Project update. 65 loads of dirt have been delivered. The gate has been completed. The building is built and ready to be delivered once the foundation is completed. Representatives from the different contractors came out and met with all 3 warden and TDCJ Project Administration personnel to discuss policy and procedures while working in the prison.

A prison sentence has an end. What happens afterward matters.

The Allred Chapel Project is focused not only on helping men grow spiritually while they are incarcerated, but also on helping prepare them for life beyond the walls.

Through faith, education, recovery, life skills, and reentry programs, the chapel will create opportunities for men to work toward a different future.

The Allred Chapel Project was created with a simple but powerful mission: to bring faith, hope, and meaningful support to the men inside James Allred Prison.

What began as a vision in 2020 has grown into a project that is now becoming a reality.

Volunteers, chaplains, pastors, and community members have come together to create a dedicated space where men can worship, learn, grow, and prepare for a better future.

This is about more than building a chapel. It is about building opportunities for change.
