Holiday food boxes available for Veterans!

The application for Pacific Northwest Veterans Alliance’s holiday food boxes is now open.

Thanksgiving pickup will be Monday, November 23, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Umatilla and Morrow Counties: Agape House, 500 W Harper Rd, Hermiston, OR 97838

Union County: Veterans Village, 1612 Russell Ave, La Grande, OR 97850

If someone is unable to travel to a pickup location, please reach out. We will do our best to make other arrangements; travel shouldn't be a barrier.

Christmas pickup dates and locations will be shared by email.

There are no income requirements. The program is open to veterans, current service members, surviving spouses, and eligible family members of deceased veterans who live in Umatilla, Morrow, or Union County. You may complete the application on behalf of a veteran, service member, or other qualifying applicant, or share the form and flyer so they can complete it themselves.

Applications will be accepted until all boxes have been claimed. The form will close once all boxes are reserved.

🎉 GREAT NEWS FOR OUR VETERANS! 🇺🇸

Morrow County Veteran Services is excited to announce that our Veteran Meal Support Program has been awarded $7,500 from the Amazon Eastern Oregon Community Fund, supported by Amazon!

This generous funding will help keep our program going for another year, providing free lunches for Veterans at the Boardman and Irrigon Senior Centers. No cost to our Veterans—just good food, community, and a chance to connect! ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to Amazon, ChangeX, and everyone who invests in strengthening our local communities and supporting those who have served our country. Your support makes a real difference in the lives of our Veterans!

It’s National Coffee Day, which means we have the perfect excuse to drink another cup… not that we needed one! 😂☕

And speaking of coffee, don’t forget to join us THIS THURSDAY (and every Thursday) from 9–11 AM for Veterans Coffee Connection at Stokes Landing Senior Center in Irrigon! 🇺🇸

An updated list of resources in our area. Please keep in mind that not all of these are free meals, but if you are a Veteran, you can eat free at the Boardman and Irrigon locations. (Heppner too!)

Hermiston and Irrigon locations ask that you please call in advance so they can prepare the correct amount of food.

FLU SEASON IS HERE and the Walla Walla VA has scheduled flu clinic and health fair events at our various locations to make it convenient for our enrolled/eligible Veterans to get their flu shot. Check out the schedule and make plans to visit one of these events.

Can't make any of them? Ask your health care provider team for a vaccination at your next appointment or call ahead and schedule a flu shot appointment.
