Anti-vehicle stalking law expands domestic abuse protections in CA | Cybernews A new law protecting domestic violence victims from tech-enabled abuse, such as connected vehicles with location tracking, is passed in California, known as SB 1394.

Chairing the Senate Natural Resources & Water Committee has been one of the great honors of my career. From offshore drilling, wildfire response, to the historic 30x30 initiative to preserve public lands, I’m so proud to work with a team of such dedicated policy experts.

The DMV office in Laguna Hills is a lifeline to over 500k residents who live nearby. I met with the landlord of this property who is willing to offer concessions. I urge the DMV to try to keep this office open.

Good news: California is on track to meet our 2030 conservation goals. My 30x30 bill last year codified our commitment to open spaces, and today we're following through on our promise to future generations.

With 25% of state land protected, California nears its '30x30' conservation goal California has now conserved 25.2% of its lands and 16.2% of its coastal waters with a little more than five years left to conserve 30% of each, officials say.
