South County Outreach is proud to join University of California, Irvine Climate & Urban Sustainability Program (CUSP) and IKEA Costa Mesa for a timely conversation on tackling food waste and expanding food recovery solutions.
📅 Thursday, May 7
🕦 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM
📍 IKEA, Costa Mesa
While food pantries play a vital role in fighting hunger, scaling consistent food sourcing and distribution takes more than donations—it requires coordination, infrastructure, and sustainable systems. This event brings together leaders, including SCO President & CEO LaVal Brewer, along with Abound Food Care CEO, Mike Learakos, to share real-world solutions for turning surplus food into lasting community impact.
