🗣️🎉IUSD is proud to recognize and celebrate 986 IUSD graduating seniors who have been awarded the State Seal of Biliteracy for demonstrating their biliteracy across 14 different languages.

Every year, graduating California public high school students earn the biliteracy gold seal, which is affixed to their diplomas, for achieving proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, or signing in one or more languages in addition to English.

This year, IUSD students received the seal in the languages of Arabic, ASL (American Sign Language), Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Russian, Spanish, Tamil and Ukrainian.

NHS Girls Softball Team are 2026 CIF-SS Division 5 Softball Champions! 🥎🏆

In its first-ever CIF softball championship appearance, Northwood High School captured the CIF Division 5 title with an impressive 11-1 victory over the Grace Lancers on Saturday. 🥳🙌

After a tightly contested start, the Timberwolves broke the game open with a dominant offensive surge, combining timely hitting, strong defense, and a complete team effort to secure the championship. Northwood finished with 11 hits and a standout performance.

Under the leadership of first-year Head Coach Maddy Grimm, the Timberwolves capped off a memorable season by bringing home the first CIF softball championship in school history.

🎉Irvine High School’s Girls Softball Team is the CIF-SS Division 6 Champions! 🏆🥎

The team dominated the championship game with a 15-2 victory over Arroyo High School, earning the Vaqueros’ first CIF-SS championship since 1991.🤩🙌🌟

From the opening inning, Irvine played dynamically, setting the tone with an aggressive offensive and strong ex*****on throughout the game.

✅🩵This title is a testament to their resilience and ability to overcome tough circumstances. The team started the season at a tough 1-11. They steadily improved, overcame every challenge and battled their way to a Pacific Coast League title share before sweeping the CIF playoffs.

They now advance to the CIF State Southern California Regional playoffs, which will take place from June 2 to June 6, 2026.🥎
