⏳ TWO WEEKS FROM TODAY: begins with the new ITLS Trauma Skills Lab!

This is trauma care you do—not just watch. Work through three hands-on stations with ITLS faculty providing coaching and feedback in real time:

🫁 AIRWAY

Perform and interpret FAST/EFAST exams, focused cardiac views, ultrasound-guided vascular access, and ultrasound-assisted pulse checks during simulated cardiac arrest.

🫀 CHEST DECOMPRESSION
Review the indications, landmarks, and correct techniques for needle decompression and finger thoracostomy in suspected tension pneumothorax.

Twenty-five years ago today, 2,977 people from 90 nations lost their lives in the attacks on New York City, the Pentagon, and aboard United Flight 93 near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Among them were firefighters, paramedics, EMTs, and law enforcement officers who moved toward danger so that others could escape it. In the years since, many more responders and recovery workers have died from illnesses connected to their service, and that toll continues today.

International Trauma Life Support honors every life lost and every family still carrying that loss. We also recognize the responders, clinicians, and volunteers who answered the call that morning and in the long months of recovery that followed.

The lessons of September 11 continue to shape how our profession prepares for mass casualty events, coordinates across agencies, and cares for patients under the hardest conditions imaginable. Our global community of instructors and providers carries that work forward every day.

We remember.
