Have you ever contemplated what would happen if local volunteers didn't step in to serve in our department?

Fighting fire is just one of the services we provide. Responding to medical emergencies, Rescue situations, Hazardous Material responses, and transportation accidents are all provided. Public service calls for questions, smoke and CO alarms are also thrown in. All those situations require frequent training and maintenance of our apparatus and equipment as well.
Behind the scenes, all required reporting for NERIS, ISO, NFPA, etc. are completed by volunteers. Preplans, public education presentations, and board meetings are all done by volunteers. Our families also become as involved as firefighters through the Isabella Rural Fire District in fund raising efforts and providing food and water after big fire battles.

We honor and thank all those who serve the citizens of our fire district as volunteers!!

How can you support your volunteers?

Do you know someone that would like to volunteer in our Isabella, ok community?
(if so please send us a message)

BURN BAN IN EFFECT

Major County Commissioners enacted a County-wide burn ban effective today. This will be in place for 7 days. On April 6th, they will reevaluate the ongoing need to continue with the burn ban or let it expire. Stay aware of the fire danger and how quickly things can escalate and get out of hand.

Isabella held a work day today to get some much needed repairs completed. We had a good turnout and we got a pump and motor swapped out in a brush rig. We replaced the leaking valves on the tanker. Trucks were washed and cleaned up. All trucks ready for service once again. Thank you to everyone that came out and donated their time today.
