Today members of IPD participated in the YMCA Trunk or Treat Event.

We had so much fun seeing everyone’s creative costumes and handing out candy.

Thank you to the YMCA for inviting us!

We hope to see more of the community at more Trunk or Treat Events to come this year!

💙 Making a Difference in Our Community! 💙

Today, we were so happy to have the Ithaca Police Department stop by to pick up donations from our Chance & Friends Donation Drive! 🧸🎁

Even more special, one of our wonderful former associates—who has since become an Ithaca Police Officer—was here to help collect the donations. We couldn’t be more proud! 🐾💙

We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with IPD and for all of our amazing pet parents who have donated. These toys will be given to children experiencing hardship through local community organizations, including Ithaca Police Department, Cayuga Medical Center, and the Fire Department. ❤️

🎁 The donation drive runs through December 25!
Every toy donated can bring a little comfort, joy, and hope to a child who may be going through a difficult time.

Thank you, Ithaca, for always showing up for our community. Together, we can make the holidays a little brighter for local kids. 🐶🐱💙

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Throughout the month of October you’ll see our Officers proudly wearing pink badges to show support to those affected by breast cancer.

Each Officer has made a donation which goes to supporting breast cancer research, or to support a local community member affected by breast cancer.

No one should fight cancer alone. The Ithaca Police Department is here for you. Help us by joining the fight, wear pink, spread awareness and consider donating to cancer research.

Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Did you know that October is domestic violence awareness month? Throughout this month you will find our Officers wearing a purple ribbon on their uniform.

This ribbon is designed to show our support to those affected by domestic violence and to spread awareness of it.

Domestic violence can affect anyone and help is available 24/7. If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, you are not alone and we are here to help you.

The Ithaca Police Department stands with survivors of domestic violence and is committed to promoting safety in our community.
