Thank you Keith Umphress County Judge for your continued support of FAITH EMS and all emergency first responders in Jack County!
Today I want to talk about our rural ambulance service.
When you live miles from a hospital, having dependable EMS can make all the difference. We are fortunate in Jack County to have a great ambulance service operating out of Faith Community Hospital.
Keeping modern equipment in rural Texas is always a challenge. As your county judge, I applied for and secured $500,000 in grant funding for two ambulances. We have applied for another $500,000 grant for two additional ambulances, and we are optimistic it will be approved.
If awarded, that will mean $1 million in ambulance funding that Jack County taxpayers will not have to provide locally.
We are also exploring locations outside Jacksboro to house additional units and better serve residents throughout our county.
As the Metroplex grows our direction, we need to plan ahead. I will continue working to make sure our emergency services have the equipment and resources to keep up with Jack County’s needs.
Early voting is still underway, and I respectfully ask for your vote for re-election as your county judge.
County Judge Keith Umphress
