The Mississippi Human Trafficking Council is entering a new chapter and we invite professionals from across the state to be part of it.

Join us for the next MHTC Statewide Collaborative Meeting:

📅 Friday, September 11, 2026
🕘 9:00–11:00 a.m.
📍 Mississippi Department of Public Safety Headquarters

This will be our first statewide meeting under the Council’s newly adopted bylaws and leadership structure. We’ll introduce our new leadership, mission and vision, updated Council structure, and priorities for strengthening Mississippi’s response to human trafficking.

We’ll also share opportunities for partners to become more involved in the work of the Council, including information about applying to serve on the MHTC Advisory Board.

The Statewide Collaborative Meeting is open to professionals interested in being part of Mississippi’s collaborative response to human trafficking.
We welcome those from law enforcement, victim services, child welfare, healthcare, education, prosecution and the legal system, state and local government, community and faith-based organizations, and other fields whose work intersects with human trafficking prevention, identification, investigation, or victim services.

Whether you are already engaged in anti-trafficking efforts or your professional role brings you into contact with populations or systems impacted by trafficking, we invite you to join the conversation and help strengthen our statewide response.

Our strongest response is one built together.

Advanced registration is required so we can plan for attendance:

Thanks to Judge Toni Terrett and our new friends participating in the All Rise Youth Camp at the Warren County Circuit Court for having council members Lori Hill and Xavier Johnson come to talk about human trafficking, grooming, and sextortion.

These young people were so impressive with their attentiveness and participation in a tough but very important conversation.

Please join us in congratulating our council partner Beth McCord on her achievement! https://www.facebook.com/share/1J7n...
