There are ten new bestsellers, one new movie, one new audiobook, eleven new children's books, and ten other new books, including one that is available online.

The new bestsellers this week include "Protocols: An Operating Manual for the Human Body," "American Hagwon," and "Peck & Peck." The new movie this week is "Toy Story 5."

Pumpkin Painting is coming up on Wednesday! We have a few spaces left in our October Elementary After School Program this Wednesday, October 14 at 2:45 PM. The program is completely free and open to everyone in grades K-4. There are limited supplies, so registration is required. Stop into the Jackson Library or call 507-847-4748 to register today!

Join me Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 6:30 PM at the Jackson Library for a special evening with Brent “The Zoo Man” Mielke—author, storyteller, and local history researcher.

I’ll be sharing stories from my books, talking about the true crimes, bizarre events, and forgotten people of southern Minnesota, and visiting with everyone afterward.

This is part of the Jackson County Library System’s Author Road Trip. Come out, bring a friend, and enjoy an evening of stories that bring the past back to life!

The new bestsellers this week include "The Steps," "The French Illusion," and "Hollow Bones." The new movies this week are "Outlander Season 8," "Supergirl," and "Minions & Monsters."
