Aware Shelter AWARE strives to eliminate domestic and sexual violence, while promoting social change and empowering survivors by offering shelter and services.

AWARE provides:
- 24 hour crisis services
- Safety planning
- Emergency shelter
- Advocacy and counseling

People tell us they almost didn't call because they weren't sure it was “bad enough.” There is no threshold. A call to AWARE can be a question. It can be “I don't know what this is.” It can be about someone else.
An advocate will not tell you what to do. They will listen, share information and options, and then it is yours to decide. 💜

During the week of October 26-30, people across South Central Michigan will come together to complete 1,000 Acts of Care through volunteerism, service and community engagement.

As we get ready for this year’s event, we’re looking back at some of the fun from years past, and getting excited to do it all again on November 6th!

Stop by SOAR Café & Farms this month and try the Chain Breaker Latte! ☕💜

Approximately 1 in 4 women in the U.S. have experienced sexual violence, physical violence, and/or stalking by an intimate partner.

Domestic violence can affect anyone, and awareness starts with all of us. Learn the signs. Look out for one another. If something doesn’t seem right, don’t be afraid to speak up, check in, or connect someone with support.

We are grateful to partner with SOAR Café & Farms this Domestic Violence Awareness Month as we work together to support survivors and build a community where everyone feels safe and supported.

And don’t forget to join us on October 22 from 4–6 PM for Love Looks Like: Community in Action! 💜
