Little Artists, BIG Creativity!

Our kindergarten artists were busy exploring the magic of gel printing! They learned all about layering colors and textures, creating ghost prints, and using some exciting new art tools—a brayer to roll on paint and a baren to transfer their designs!

Every print was a new surprise, giving students the opportunity to experiment, discover, and see how creativity can lead to something unexpected!

At JGS, we love watching our youngest learners explore, take creative risks, and find joy in the process—not just the finished product!

Our All-School Meetings are a wonderful example of how we bring our three JGS tenets—Learning, Community, and Fun—to life! This week, our Jaguars became scientists, carefully observing granite and recording their discoveries in field journals. This hands-on exploration connects perfectly to our Beyond the Horizon: Our State, Our Story theme, as students learn about New Hampshire's natural resources and the granite that gives our state its nickname, The Granite State! Through curiosity, collaboration, and discovery, we continue to show that learning happens everywhere—and it's even better when we learn together! ASM Rocks!!

Coming right up! Community Planning Forum for the Jackson School District Strategic Plan!

The Jackson School District's current strategic plan will guide us until 2027, and we are now working to develop the priorities that will carry our vision for education forward. Before we begin writing that plan, we want to hear from the people who know our community best and that’s you.

This is an especially meaningful time to look ahead. In addition to all changes at the state and federal levels, Jackson is fortunate to see an increase in enrollment this year, a reminder that our schools and our community continue to evolve and grow. As we consider what our students will need in the years ahead, we want to make sure we’re listening carefully to the people who make up our community.

Join a community forum. Additional opportunities to come together, listen to one another, and talk about the future of our schools will be offered in the coming months at The Whitney Center at the following dates and times:

Falling for Fall at JGS!

Sometimes the best moments happen outside the classroom! A pile of leaves, some fresh fall air, and lots of laughter—simple moments that bring so much joy!

There is something pretty special about the pure joy of children playing in the leaves. At JGS, we cherish these little moments and the simple joys that are cultivated here every day. Sometimes it’s the simplest things that create the biggest smiles and the best memories!

Where Imagination Takes Root!

At JGS, we know some of the very best learning happens when children have the freedom to play, imagine, create, and explore.

Give our Jaguars some sticks, leaves, rocks, and a little space outdoors, and suddenly they’re architects, engineers, explorers, problem-solvers, and teammates! The forts and outdoor spaces they build become so much more than places to play—they are places where ideas come alive, friendships grow, challenges are solved, and imaginations run wild.

We love watching our Jaguars remind us that childhood needs space for wonder. Sometimes the most important thing we can give children is the time and freedom to ask, “What could we make here?”

🔵🟡🔴 International Dot Day at JGS! 🟢🟣🟠

International Dot Day is a celebration inspired by Peter H. Reynolds’ book The Dot, encouraging children to embrace creativity, courage, and the idea that each of us can make our mark on the world.

Today, our Jaguars arrived to find a special dot waiting on their desks, along with a personal note from a JGS staff member reminding them just how special they are and how they leave their own unique mark on our school. 💙🐾

At JGS, we want every student to experience value and belonging—not just through the big moments, but through the little ones, too. Sometimes a simple note, a few kind words, or a colorful dot can remind a child: You matter. You belong. You make JGS better just by being you.
