Another Guns & Hoses Softball Tournament is in the books!

Congratulations to Mule Creek CDCR for taking home first place at this year’s tournament! 🏆

All money raised from the event goes to the winning team’s charity of choice, and this year, Mule Creek selected the Mule Creek Fallen Families Resource Foundation.

Amador Fire proudly took home second place! 🥈

We also want to recognize some special individuals and organizations who helped make today possible:

🇺🇸 Rick from American Legion Post 108 for throwing out our ceremonial first pitch!

🇺🇸 Boy Scout Troop 63 for presenting our nation’s colors.

🎤 Jenna Martinez for her beautiful performance of the National Anthem.

🎙️ KVGC Radio and Jim Guidi for announcing the games and keeping the energy going throughout the day!

🧢Little League for managing the snack shack.

🥎 All of our participating teams and volunteer umpires for giving their time and making this tournament possible!

And of course, a HUGE thank you to all the families, friends, vendors, sponsors, and local businesses who generously donated raffle prizes and came out to support this event. Your generosity and community spirit are what make events like this so special!

At the end of the day, it’s about so much more than softball. It’s about bringing our community together, supporting a great cause, and enjoying a little friendly competition along the way.

Thank you, Amador County, for showing up and supporting this year’s Guns & Hoses Softball Tournament!

Until next year!

POWER OUTAGE PREPAREDNESS | GENERATOR SAFETY

With a Red Flag Warning in effect and the potential for Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) in portions of Amador County over the next couple of days, Amador Fire would like to remind residents of a few important generator safety tips.

✅ Keep generators outdoors. Never operate a generator inside your home, garage, or other enclosed space.

✅ Maintain a safe distance. Place generators at least 20 feet away from doors, windows, and vents.

✅ Prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. Make sure your home has working carbon monoxide detectors.

✅ Refuel safely. Always turn off your generator and allow it to cool before adding fuel.

✅ Avoid electrical hazards. Never plug a generator directly into a household outlet. Use properly rated extension cords or a professionally installed transfer switch.

A little preparation goes a long way in keeping our community safe!

For the latest information regarding potential power shutoffs in your area, visit: https://pgealerts.alerts.pge.com/outage-tools/outage-map/

Stay safe, Amador County!

After weeks of intense training (approximately 12 minutes), questionable coaching, and absolutely zero professional scouting interest… our athletes are ready!!!!

The talent? Debatable.
The confidence? Unreasonably high.
The athletic ability? Under investigation.
The rivalry? VERY real. 🚒🚓

Join us for the 7th Annual Guns & Hoses Softball Tournament, hosted by Amador Fire. Where local first responders put their pride, dignity, and hamstrings on the line for a great cause!

📅 Sunday, October 18th
📍 Howard Park | Ione
🇺🇸 Opening Ceremonies: 8:30 AM
🥎 First Pitch: 9:00 AM

Come support your local first responders, enjoy some friendly competition, and witness athletic performances that may never be repeated. For good reason.

No scouts will be in attendance. Medical personnel are already on scene. 🚑😂
