Jackson Ambulance Service Jackson Ambulance Service is a department of the City of Jackson. The Jackson Ambulance Service was founded in 1968 by the local VFW Post 900.

The Jackson Ambulance Service covers a large primary service area that includes the City of Jackson, City of Alpha, and other townships within Jackson County. Our Service is owned by the City of Jackson. We respond to approximately 600+ medical/trauma calls and inter-facility transfers each year. We operate 3 ambulances, a 2015 and 2018 Chevrolet G4500 Type III Ambulance and a 2014 Ford F450, 4 wheel drive Ambulance. We currently have 14 EMT-Bs and 6 RN/EMTs, and 2 EMRs. Some of our equipment include; Stryker Power Cots, Ferno Electric Stair Chairs, Zoll X-Series Monitor/Defibrillators and Lucas II Mechanical CPR Devices. Our new Fire/Ambulance Station was built in 2012.
