We had a great time welcoming the parents and children from Lighthouse Church to the fire station for some open house activities!

Our guests had the opportunity to tour the station, check out the fire apparatus and equipment, meet some of our firefighters, and learn a little more about what we do each day to serve and protect our community. The kids especially enjoyed getting an up-close look at the fire trucks and seeing some of the tools and equipment our crews use.

Events like this are about much more than showing off a fire truck. They give our firefighters an opportunity to build relationships with the children and families we serve and help our younger citizens become comfortable with firefighters before they ever encounter us during an emergency.

A big THANK YOU to Lighthouse Church and all of the parents and children who came out to spend some time with us. We enjoyed having you at the station and hope everyone had as much fun as we did!

Residents are asked to refrain from all outdoor burning while these conditions remain in effect and to use extreme caution with any activity that could produce sparks or an open flame.

We want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who came out and joined us for Public Safety Night this past Friday!

It meant a great deal to all of us to spend time with the citizens we are honored to serve each and every day. Events like this give us the opportunity not only to showcase the equipment, services, and capabilities of our public safety agencies, but more importantly, to connect with the people behind the community we work so hard to protect.

We are proud to protect, serve, educate, and support this great community—and we are even more grateful for the continued support you show our firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, 911 professionals, and all of our public safety partners.

Thank you for bringing your families, asking questions, meeting our crews, checking out the equipment, and simply spending the evening with us.

Join us next Saturday, October 24, at the Fall Festival for another great day in our community. Be sure to come out and watch our Firefighter Quick Dress Competition, where firefighters will race against the clock—and each other—to see who can gear up the fastest!

It should be a lot of fun, so bring the family, cheer on your favorite firefighter, and spend another day with us!

Thank you, Butts County, for allowing us the privilege of serving you.

When Seconds Count, We’re Here for You.
