Jackson restaurant owner headed back to MICHELIN Guide ceremony

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - For a second year in a row, Hunter Evans finds himself in a familiar place.

Next week, the Jackson chef and restaurant owner has been invited to attend the Michelin Guide American South Ceremony.

The event is slated for October 21 in Nashville.

While Evans’ ultimate hope is that one of his restaurants will be awarded a Michelin Star, the invitation means he could also be recognized with several other Michelin Guide designations, including being named a Bib Gourmand restaurant.

According to the MICHELIN Guide’s website, that designation is designed to recognize restaurants that serve “exceptional food at [a] value.”
