School crossing is one of my favorite duties here at JPD but it looks like the return of Officer Spice….. Pumpkin Spice has grown fond of crossing duty also! He is working hard to keep our streets safe, but apparently his traffic-control technique is simply:
“SLOW DOWN…. I’M ADORABLE!” 🤣🛑
He will be stationed here for the month, accepting compliments, monitoring suspicious squirrels and making sure the little pumpkins cross safely!
Remember, drive safe, stay spooky and drive like your pumpkin depends on it!

💙 National Police Women’s Day 💙
Today, we celebrate the women behind the badge — the women who quietly make a difference in the lives of the people they serve.

In a small town, being a police officer is about so much more than answering calls. It’s knowing our neighbors, recognizing familiar faces, checking on someone who may need a little extra support, and treating every person with dignity and compassion.

Although there are other female officer in our own Carroll County that deserve recognition also, we want to take a moment to recognize one of our own and Tamworth PD’s Sgt.; Officer Perley. She has been a tremendous asset to Jackson PD in the short time she has been here and we are beyond thankful to have her!

🇺🇸 Never Forget.
Today, we joined members of our community for a 9/11 Remembrance Walk to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember the victims, honor the heroes, and recognize the strength and unity that brought our nation together in the days that followed.

We are grateful to everyone who walked with us today and helped keep their memory alive.

We remember. We honor. We will NEVER forget. 🇺🇸

Great day at Story Land for touch a truck! And looks like we might even have a few new recruits! This is such a great event that we enjoy being apart of every year!

🚨📚 BREAKING NEWS: SCHOOL IS BACK. 📚🚨
We interrupt your regularly scheduled summer to bring you this important announcement:

THE CHILDREN HAVE RETURNED. 😂

That means school buses are rolling, backpacks are somehow bigger than the kids carrying them, and parents everywhere are asking, “Did you pack your lunch?” approximately 47 times before 8:00 AM.

Our officers will be out around the schools helping everyone get where they need to go safely.

👮 Drivers: Please slow down in school zones.
🚌 Bus drivers: We appreciate you.
👩‍🏫 Teachers: You deserve a medal… and probably a vacation.
☕ Parents: We recommend coffee. Lots of coffee.
🎒 Students: Try not to lose your backpack on Day 1. We have faith in you.

And remember: If you see a school bus with its lights flashing, STOP. It’s not a suggestion, a challenge, or an opportunity to see how quickly you can get around it. 😂

From all of us at the PD, we wish our students, teachers, staff, bus drivers, and parents a safe, successful, and slightly chaotic school year! And remember, Jackson PD is here for you.

Welcome back, everyone!

It has been a busy summer and hard to believe it’s almost time for kids to go back to school! I wanted to take a moment and share a few things from the summer that you missed, we will start with Chief Mosher learning that Christmas in July is a thing! Elficer Jingles was here to visit he said but was caught trying to break into the PD back on July 14! I guess the naughty or nice list is critical to check early!

This morning was a great morning to go for a little bike patrol before the heat!

And a couple days ago, we checked out a little behind the scenes action. This is the radio tower for Jackson FD, Bartlett FD and the Bartlett Jackson Ambulance. This little spot is the critical infrastructure that these departments rely on and as you can see, the unobstructed view is what makes this such a beneficial spot!

Let’s all slow down time and enjoy all that Jackson has to offer!

NHDOT will begin a drainage construction project on Main St this morning. This will be a lengthy project so please be patient. Traffic may be stopped or one-way at times.

They are starting on the covered bridge end, if you can please use the North end of main street until they start working on that end. Less traffic in the construction zone will be safer for everyone and will help them get the project done faster!
