**Who knew subtraction could be so SWEET?** 🤍🧡💛

Our little Rockets in Mrs. Boggess’ Kindergarten class had a fun and festive time practicing their subtraction skills using a favorite Halloween treat—**candy corn!** 🍬

Students brought math to life by putting themselves into word problems and using hands-on strategies like **candy manipulatives, ten frames, drawings, and number lines** to solve subtraction problems.

We love seeing our youngest Rockets build confidence, strengthen their math skills, and discover that learning can be both fun and delicious!

🚀💡 5th Grade Gifted Spotlight with Mrs. Simpson! 💡🚀

Curious minds lead to incredible discoveries! 🧠✨

Our 5th Grade Gifted students took their learning to the next level as they explored Binary Code and Braille!

While reading about Louis Braille, students discovered a connection between Braille and Binary Code. Their curiosity sparked questions, meaningful discussions, and an exciting opportunity to explore something new!

Mrs. Simpson challenged her students to use different materials to creatively represent the codes they’ve learned about in class. The results were AMAZING! 🌟

Their creativity and problem-solving skills were so impressive that Mrs. Simpson plans to incorporate their ideas into her Teacher of the Year application video lesson and showcase them at the upcoming STEM Festival in November!

We love seeing our Rockets ask questions, think outside the box, and inspire their teachers along the way!

💕👩‍🍳 Cooking, Laughter & Sweet Memories on Pink Day! 👩‍🍳💕

Our RCSA Intracoastal staff had such a fun and delicious time during our Pink Day Cooking Class! 💗

With the help of our amazing chefs, Mrs. Rashan and her sister, Mrs. Ahmed, Mrs. Hannach, and Ms. Hind, we rolled up our sleeves, tried something new, and prepared some delicious dishes!

This was more than just a cooking class! It was a chance for our staff to come together, share laughs, enjoy delicious food, and make memories outside the classroom. 💕

WOW! What another incredible Trunk-or-Treat & Family Movie Night! ❤️💙🚀

We want to give a HUGE shoutout to our wonderful Parent Volunteer Organization (PVO) for putting together another unforgettable evening for our Rocket families!

From the creatively decorated trunks and endless candy to the laughter, smiles, and movie night fun, it was truly a night filled with wonderful memories!

A SPECIAL THANK YOU to all the amazing families and community members who participated by hosting a trunk! 🎃🍭 Your creativity, time, effort, and generosity helped make this event extra special for our Rockets! We loved seeing all the fun themes and decorations. You truly went above and beyond!

🎀 PINK OUT DAY: HONORING OUR FIGHTERS, SURVIVORS & WARRIORS!

Today, our RCSA Intracoastal family came together for a very special Pink Out Day Survivors Luncheon!

It was a beautiful opportunity to honor the incredible strength, courage, and resilience of those who have battled breast cancer, those who are currently fighting, and those who continue to navigate their journey.

To our SURVIVORS — your strength inspires us.

To our FIGHTERS — we stand beside you.

To those we have LOST — your memory will forever remain in our hearts.

Today was about more than wearing pink. It was about coming together as one school family to share love, support, encouragement, and hope.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special luncheon. We are honored to celebrate you, hear your stories, and remind you that you are never alone in this journey.

Together, we wear pink. Together, we stand strong. Together, we are family! 💗

❤️💙 Teamwork makes learning even better at RCSA Intracoastal!

A special shoutout to Mrs. Danaher’s 3rd Grade Class and Ms. Swinamer’s 2nd Grade Class for coming together for a fun and meaningful reading experience! 📖💕

Our Rockets teamed up to read a story, identify the central idea, and explore story elements. But the real magic happened when we watched our students become little teachers themselves! 🌟

From coaching one another and sharing ideas to encouraging their classmates and working together, these Rockets showed us what teamwork is all about! 🥰👏

We love seeing our older and younger Rockets learning from each other, building confidence, and creating special connections across grade levels!

Two grades, one amazing team, and endless opportunities to grow! 🚀❤️💙
