Great teachers are at the heart of student success.

During a visit to Mandarin Oaks Elementary, Superintendent Dr. Christopher Bernier spent time in classrooms seeing the incredible work our teachers do every day to help students reach their fullest potential.

Our classroom teachers are a key part of what has helped Duval County Public Schools become an A-rated district for two consecutive years.

The 1 mill, approved by voters in 2022, has helped support teacher compensation, reduce teacher vacancies, and improve teacher retention. Learn more about the 1-mill referendum and the progress happening across Team Duval by visiting our website.
