The Onslow County Emergency Services Administrative Office will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth.
The administrative office will resume regular operations on Monday, June 22, 2026.
Please note that this closure applies only to administrative office functions. Emergency services operations will continue to operate normally throughout the holiday period to ensure uninterrupted service to our community.

Onslow County Emergency Services
The Emergency Services Department consists of E-911 Communications, Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, and Fire Rescue Coordination.
The Department of Emergency Services was created to enhance emergency response, planning and recovery from major emergencies that may occur in Onslow County. Consolidated under one department is the E-911 Communications Center, Emergency Management Office, Emergency Medical Services, and the Fire Rescue Services. Itโs National EMS Week! Did you know Onslow County Emergency Services has a EMS Cadet Program? Here is a video of this yearโs cadets conducting a mass casualty exercise with NC DEQ. The Cadet Program invites high school age youth interested in the paramedic field to train with Onslow County EMTs and complete community service hours. Anytime you call 911 in Onslow County, a real person answers the call and dispatches law enforcement, EMS, fire and other first responders to the scene. The voice behind 911 is telecommunicators like Kaitlin Hovey. Kaitlin says she enjoys being the light on peopleโs worst days โ and helping folks in emergency situations.
