๐Ÿ“ฃ Local Authors: Be featured at Jax Book Fest!

Meet new readers and sell and sign copies of your book(s) alongside three New York Times bestselling authors headlining the event on Saturday, Sept. 19, at the Downtown Main Library.

Apply online by June 30, 2026, at jaxlibrary.org/AuthorCall

Authors of all genres are welcome to apply but they must reside in the Jacksonville area (Duval, Nassau, Clay, St. Johns, Baker, Union, and Bradford Counties in Florida, and Camden, Charlton, and Glynn Counties in Georgia).

Preference is given to Duval County authors. Those selected will be notified by July 10, 2026.

Friends of Mandarin Library Summer Sale is coming up!

Shop and save on books, CDs, DVDs, and puzzles with the Friends of the Mandarin Library 's next Book Sale. For the best deal, pick up a paper grocery bag and fill it full of books (bags provided by the Friends).

Summer at Jax Library starts this week at Jacksonville Public Library!

Building your home library? Kids and teens get a free book just for attending a Summer Reading Kick-Off Party. Plus, track your reading June 1 - August 1 to earn more free books!

You can also fill a bag full of books for just $10 at the Friends of the Mandarin Library Book Sale this Friday and Saturday!

All 21 Jacksonville Public Library locations will be closed on Monday, May 25, in observance of Memorial Day. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Reminder: You can read e-books, audiobooks, and magazines or stream free movies, music, and TV shows for free with your library card. The Digital Library is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
