🔍🕵️‍♂️On Friday, June 12, Sturgeon City Environmental Education Center is hosting Forensics Night, a hands-on event designed for adults.

We are thrilled to partner with local professionals from the Onslow County Sheriff's Office, Jacksonville Police Department, Jacksonville Fire Department, and Coastal Carolina Community College to bring the world of forensic science to life. Attendees will rotate through interactive stations to learn real-world investigative techniques.

Audience: Adults 18+

Calling All Future Entrepreneurs: Welcome to The Idea Factory!

From July 13 – July 17, we are turning ideas into reality at Sturgeon City’s The Idea Factory! In this camp, students entering Grades 7-8 will partner with the Coastal Carolina Community College Small Business Center (SBC) to go from problem-solvers to business owners.

This program provides students with a competitive edge, teaching the same REAL Entrepreneurship curriculum used by local adult competitors in "Pitch It! Onslow."

Students will learn to:
Identify real-world problems.
Develop unique product or service solutions
Design a professional pitch deck.
Master the art of the presentation.

The week ends with a high-stakes Shark Tank-style competition where the top five team winning gift cards.

Important Registration Note: Participation requires a signed Parental Permission Form, which enables our partnership with the SBC and ensures participants receive their official curriculum materials and certificate.
