The wart hog exhibit is to your right as you enter the loop.
The bongo exhibit is in the center of the loop around the Plains. Home to eastern bongo and southern ground hornbills, the exhibit is spacious and tree-shaded. It is also home to a wild breeding colony of the endangered wood storks.

Take a stroll across the elevated viewing platform and get eye-to-eye with a giraffe. The covered boardwalk gives guests a breathtaking view across a replica of the African Savanna. Giraffe and greater kudu walk and graze freely in this 2.5 acre exhibit adjacent to the Savanna Blooms botanical gardens.

Western gorillas are exceptionally large and powerful primates. They have no tails and jet black skin. Facial features include short muzzles, a prominent brow ridge, large nostrils, small eyes and ears, large jaw muscles and broad, strong teeth.

Previously considered Indochinese Tigers, the Malayan subspecies has only been recognized since 2004. Male Malayan tigers weigh an average of 260 pounds, while females weigh an average of 220 pounds. They can grow up to 7.5 to 9.5 feet in length, from head to tail.
