Applications are now OPEN for the Mayor's Youth at Work Partnership (MYAWP) Summer 2026 Internship Program!

This program connects young people in Duval County with local businesses for paid internships that build valuable skills and confidence. Participants also receive job-readiness training, financial education, soft-skills development, and one-on-one support from a dedicated job coach every step of the way.

Who’s eligible?
• Ages 16–21 and currently enrolled in school (up to 22 for youth with special needs)
• OR ages 16–24, not enrolled in school or working, and facing barriers to employment

If you’re ready to gain experience, earn income, and take the next step toward your future, this opportunity is for you!

Here’s what you need to know:
Who needs to file?
Anyone who owns TPP on January 1st and operates as a:
✅ Proprietorship
✅ Partnership
✅ Corporation
✅ Self-employed agent or contractor
Property owners who lease, lend, or rent property must also file!
What is Tangible Personal Property?
TPP includes goods, chattels, and other articles of value capable of manual possession whose chief value is intrinsic to the article itself. Think equipment, furniture, machinery, and more! (Inventory and household goods are excluded per section 192.001(11)(d), F.S.)

The Duval County Property Appraiser’s Office will be closed on Monday, January 19, and will reopen on Tuesday at 7:30 a.m.

We will be closing today, December 31st, at 3:30 PM and will reopen Friday January 2nd at 7:30 AM. We wish everyone a safe and happy New Year!
