Another month of qualifications and awards for our amazing Sailors! We couldn’t be prouder of the professionalism, dedication, and hard work our people bring every day. Their commitment keeps our squadron sharp, ready, and always prepared to answer our nation’s call.

The Vipers of HSM-48 lead the way by taking part in beautifying NS Mayport. From the Commanding Officer to our most junior Sailor, every Viper understands that excellence begins with ownership and good stewardship. By caring for the resources and spaces entrusted to us, we strengthen our team, reinforce our standards, and better prepare ourselves to execute the mission.

HSM-48 closed out the year in style with our annual Holiday Party! We celebrated our outstanding Sailors, recognizing their exceptional achievements and raffling off well-deserved prizes throughout a glitzy evening filled with laughter, camaraderie, and celebration. 2025 was an incredible year packed with remarkable accomplishments from our amazing Sailors, and we’re charging into 2026 with excitement and boundless optimism!

November, as always, brought countless things for us to be grateful for here at HSM-48. Greatest amongst these are our incredible Sailors!

This past month, we celebrated two awards quarters to recognize many of these Sailors for their achievements. Then we closed off the month with the time honored tradition of “Feed the Troops,” where our officers and senior enlisted took the opportunity to provide our troops with a homemade meal to send them off to a well earned Thanksgiving Liberty.

We saluted Command Master Chief Wagner as he officially retired after 32 years of outstanding service to the Navy. His leadership, dedication, and passion for excellence has shaped the future of countless Sailors. We thank him for his unwavering commitment, and wish him fair winds and following seas on this next chapter! ⚓️🇺🇸🐍

Last Friday was an exciting day for the Vipers! Congrats to AD2 Brady, AD2 Neiford, and AWR3 Gabor on their re-enlistments! Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for HSM-48!
