USS CARNEY (DDG 64) bids farewell to three Sailors who have faithfully served this command with professionalism, dedication, and pride since their arrival on board. Their contributions strengthened the ship and crew, and their commitment to excellence reflects the highest standards of naval service. As they depart for new orders, we extend our sincere gratitude for their service and wish them continued success as they carry their experience and leadership forward in the United States Navy.

It was an honor to go underway with each other, sharing knowledge, experience, and seamanship, while strengthening international partnerships. Our Sailors took part in general shipboard training, reinforcing the skills and teamwork required to safely and effectively operate the ship. Whether conducting drills or refining essential procedures, every evolution strengthens our readiness and our ability to accomplish the mission. The crew’s commitment to excellence enabled CARNEY to certify in multiple areas of shipboard operations!

We bid farewell to our Systems Test Officer, Bradley Harber, as he embarks on his new journey. Warrant Officer Harber has dedicated long hours to support our team while continuously demonstrating exceptional commitment and professionalism. His expertise and hard work has been invaluable to our command, and he will be deeply missed. We wish Warrant Officer Harber every success in his future endeavors and thank him for all he has contributed in his time with us. Fair winds and following seas STO!

We proudly recognize LTJG John Colbert for earning his Surface Warfare Officer pin- a milestone that reflects rigorous study, demanding watch standing, and unwavering dedication to shipboard excellence. The insignia represents proven leadership, technical competence, and readiness to stand among the Navy’s Surface Warriors. LTJG Colbert was able to be pinned by his daughter in a ceremony onboard.
