Riverside Avondale Preservation RAP's mission is to preserve, enhance, and celebrate Riverside Avondale's historic fabric, arts & culture, local businesses, and public spaces.

Our mission is simple: Preserve this community. Not just the old homes and buildings, but also the beautiful parks and tree-lined streets, historic commercial corridors and vibrant cultural and business institutions. We are also proud to serve as the presenting organization for Riverside Arts Market! We are committed to protecting the sense of place and human scale that define the Riverside Avondale Historic District. If that’s your vision too, join us!

🏳️‍🌈 Pride takes over the neighborhood this Saturday!

The Jax River City Pride Parade, led by Grand Marshall Jimmy Peluso, steps off at 2 PM from Historic Willowbranch Park, making its way through Riverside, Avondale and 5 Points.

Then keep the celebration going at the Pride Parade After Party on Lomax Street in 5 Points from 5–8 PM with music, dancing and plenty of community spirit. 🪩

Come celebrate Pride with your neighbors and keep the party going all afternoon!

Unstoppable! A big congratulations to Hair Peace Salon and founding owner, Bruce Musser, on 30 years of business in Riverside! Bruce and his team have masterfully trudged through challenges and pivoted strategically over the years to become one of the neighborhood’s, and city’s, premier salons.

RAP thanks Bruce for his steadfast support for our neighborhood! We wish you nothing but the best over the next three decades!

A little look back at a very full Saturday in the neighborhood. Our inaugural RAP Community Yard Sales brought out the bargain hunters, treasure finders, neighbors, and friends—and we loved seeing Riverside Avondale buzzing from block to block. Thanks for coming out and making the first one such a fun day!
