Bike/Ped Training Friday, June 14th from 10 a.m. - 2:00p.m.
Free and Open to the Public
Bike and Pedestrian Safety Training
What will participants learn? This approximately 4 hour workshop teaches participants how to fit bicycle helmets correctly, bicycle/pedestrian laws and safety tips, walking and bicycling skills, and how to conduct a bicycle rodeo. Participants will ride bicycles to practice the skills they will lear...

When: Saturday, March 2nd from 10:15am to 3:15pm
Where: FSCJ 601 W. State Street, 32202 Urban Resource Center Room 103
What to bring:
(i) Lunch and Water ( light refreshments provided)
(ii) Dress accordingly (or change of clothing for a bike ride); sunscreen
(iii) A working bicycle (and helmet)—We will test out a bicycle rodeo course and possibly a very short bike ride depending on time. If you need to borrow a bicycle, please let us know by responding to this email. The option to pass on riding a bicycle and visually observing is also available.
Living Agenda (with intermittent breaks):
10:15am-1pm: Introduction, Need for program, Pedestrian lessons, Bicycle Lessons, Working Lunch, Helmet Activities
2pm-3pm: Outside/on-bike-- Station set-up, skills practice, neighborhood ride
